Do I seem a bit excited? Well that's because I am; ask my buddy Dominick Morano of Portofino Bistro and Grill(read more at A Tale of Two Eateries…). He knows what customer service means to me, and how to dish it up- well, there is another business that models the value of customer service and as much as I would like to tell you who they are, I have been sworn to secrecy. At their request and assurances, my personal thanks is more than enough for them. No, they are not in the spy business; in fact they are florists.
Case in point-a short time ago my wife was the recipient of a vase of flowers (oh, did I mention they came from me?). When asked to "fill in" the card, I said "to brighten your day". Well, the flowers alone accomplished that. But, the glitter applied to the aforementioned flowers simply took my wife to a new space.
OK, they provide a value that far exceeds expectations and the quality of the product is beyond compare but it is that attention to detail that takes it over the top. These folks GET IT! Anybody can do what they are asked to do, but the "true winners" take the next step. Is it any wonder the folks I am talking about are not only humble but outrageously busy?
So… my question to you- are you taking the next step? If no, why not? If you are- please share with the rest of us. Don't be afraid to toot your own horn- you're worth it.
