If It Sounds Too Good to Be True- It Just May Be

Yeah right- we've all been told that if it sounds to good to be true then there is no way it can be true. Well, sometimes it isn't like that and I have proof. A while back I attended a Social Media seminar presented by a local insurance agency. Aside from learning a lot they made the attendees an offer- let us help you escalate your business visibility using social media. Oh, and the only catch is that you cross-link to their web-site. Skeptic or not I had to check it out.

Berry Insurance in partnership with its social media gurus Kaitlyn Pintarich and Amanda Spittell meant what they said. The Partners of Berry Insurance program is designed to give back to the local community. Here, small business owners can get a coupon and site link on the Berry website; moreover, Kaitlyn and Amanda will create a video promotion for your business. Can you believe it? And again, the catch (if you could call it that)- a link-back to their site from yours. Would they like your business? Sure! Do you need to insure with them? Absolutely not!

I am totally grateful for what these folks are doing. Giving back- so easy, so beneficial. How about you? Are you giving? Are you willing to give it a try?

    You are deservedly welcome.

  3. Great idea. Social media has opened up a universe of options. At Im-aj we are having a lot of fun integrating traditional and digital media. We're helping our non-profits raise money while we are helping our for-profits to work in philanthropy. The world has changed. It's all about relationships and there are more ways to create and develop them.

  4. Glad I found this post – good for Berry Insurance! We're all in this together and together and helping one another is what it's all about.
We totally support small business and believe in giving back on countless levels, where everyone wins. http://www.WebsitesGiveBack.com offers incredible website design for a one-time rate of $499 (complete services package) for small businesses. We then take $100 of the total cost and donate it to a charity of the customer's choosing; giving them the full tax benefit. Our goal is to raise $60K for charities in 2011. We call it the 3-Cs: Company-Customer-Cause.
We continue to give back to our community by offering our local residents an additional $50 off and have a wonderful referral program. We just believe the more we give and without any strings, the more we'll benefit as well.
We live in unique economic times and the pulse we have on small business requires that we have a unique approach to help one another. It is our hope that it catches on and much good comes from it.
Thank you for writing this post and acknowledging Berry Insurance as a company that's making a difference! We wish you and them abundant success on countless levels.
    With kindness,

  6. Ed Drozda says:

Relationships- at the core of it all is that we value others wouldn't you say? Thanks for sharing Jami and never stop doing the great things you do.

  7. Ed McDonough says:

This quote form Albert Einstein says it all:
"The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving."

  8. Thanks Elena for the kind comments (and great actions of your company) and many thanks to Ed for promoting our program. At Berry Insurance, we truly believe that giving back to the community should be a core focus of every business. Our Partners program, highlighting the benefits of social media marketing, is just one way we hope to better the community. It's the giving season, we'd love to hear what others are doing!

  11. I am really impressed with your writing talents as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid subject or did you customize it yourself? Either way stay up the nice quality writing, it is uncommon to look a great weblog like this one nowadays..

  12. I thank you for the kind words. It is not a paid blog- it is my own, unsolicited, original material. I must say, your submission name is curious: and inexpensive longchamp legend?
